I am soooooo boring!

I wish I could think of something interesting to blog about for my faithful readers. But lacking sleep makes it awfully difficult to keep a creative edge. Let me tell you about things that have been a real part of my life the past few days, keeping me alive, sane and happy but VERY tired.

1st- Nytol, my only coping device right now. (Every night my mind of whizzing a hundred miles and hour and about 45 minutes after taking a Nytol, I can actually sleep.)

2nd- I tried to take a warm bath last night to relax but to no avail, and I think my overactive imagination is to blame. Let me explain... See, I unfortunately started the fourth book in the Narnia series, Prince Caspian, and man oh man, I am not a huge fan of fantasy, but these books are full of rich descriptives, entertaining interactions between characters and fascinating fictional histories. I LOVE it, but love it to the point that when I lay down to sleep, I cannot allow my mind to rest until I read until my eyes are burning and my mind is DEAD! It's a curse!

Last night I thought that I could pre-emp my need to read Narnia, by listening to another book that I downloaded from the iTunes Store. I sometimes really enjoy listening to someone read the story to me, and this is maybe my third audiobook that I have bought (also downloaded one of the Harry Potter books from Limewire, for all of you Limewire freaks, but I digress) Ok, so as I relaxed in the bathtub I listened to "Everyone Worth Knowing" by Lauren Weisberger. (Entertaining book so far, I am 2/5's through the book and it is typical "Brit Chick" novel, trendy Twenty/thirty something professional woman works through changing life goals and finding out what she really wants out of life, etc.)

3rd- So, having said all of that, it didn't work. After listening to a few chapters of audiobook, I laid down to sleep and all that was going through my head was... hmmm, I wonder what happened to Prince Caspian and his teacher...

No rest for the weary and active minded people of the world! G.

I take Nytol too!! In fact, I just swallowed one---I didn't know you could download books---- it is nice to have someone read to us, takes me back to my own elementary days and how much I enjoyed hearing some of the old classics, which wouldn't even be allowed in our schools now, like Tom Sawyer- Another weekend coming up--- get rested!!!

Hey April-
Thanks for the post... epect many more typos from me... I just got my new computer but the layout of the keyboard is weird... Takes me twice as long to type anything!! Hope you have a great sleep tonight, I will for sure try to tire you out with badminton or a hike tomorrow!!

Nan-
Once I discovered downloaded books, I LOVED the idea. I put them on my iPod and polished half a book while out berry picking one nice autumn day last year!
