Terry Fox Walk

Last year, we had a great time, LOTS of people, but unfortunately this year some of the secondary students skipped the afternoon since they knew what we were doing and felt too lazy! OH , teenagers sometimes!!!

Hmmm, and now is the weekend. NOt many plans, I decided to host a raclette party tomorrow for Anne, Yayi, Mark, Nancy, April, Trevor, Melanie, and possibly Marie and Chris if their daughter is doing well. Megan has down syndrome and is maybe two years old. She tends to get hit hard when sickness is floating around. I have been craving Raclette but since I don't own one I have to invite the others.... JOKING! I like having people over... I never did it much in previous years since I would ALWAYS have dishes and laundry around, but now I realize that if I invite people for supper then it gives me an extra push to get the dishes done and the clothes folded at LEAST once a week... haha!! Wondering what the heck a raclette is???? Check it out below...

Looks really good, but still don't know what it is?? Hehehehe.
I'm with tuffysmom-- what is involved in hosting a raclette party?? And how about that wine and brie cheese party idea?? or is everyone sick of it up there?? I just want to get a kleenex and wipe that boys nose!! :)
haha, yeah, you kind of get used to "kakkik" (Inuktitut word for snot) up here... I hardly notice anymore, until they try to give big hugs!
So, everyone will bring a bowl of uncooked meat, some raw veggies and then I will make some potatoes, someone else is bringing baguette... And then we sit around and you cook evenything on the top grill... you can also use the little pans to melt cheese on bread or your food underneath the grill... It can kind of broil it from below since the elements are directly under the top grill...
I don't know how to explain, but it is yummy!! You can get different tastes every few minutes by cooking a different thing..
Lots of fun...

I will NEVER regret the afternoon visits, BUT MAYBE you will get scared of me... I'm like a conversation leech, I LOVE talking and you are easy prey!!! hahaha... similar addiction!! LOL!
Welcome to blog... so, when can I set you up??? Let me know if you are tired of doing pigs tomorrow if Trev has to work and I can set you up with your own space for rants and writing, future English PhD...

hahaha...
"Tired of doing pigs tomorrow"--Darst I ask????
Maybe part of the reason for his cold-----he seems to be the only in bare arms ?????
April teaches grade 3, the first year students study in English language. (WHAT a challenge!!) But she is totally in love with pigs and is in the midst of preparing a unit on the three little pigs!
Come on Nan, you know me, I would never even allude to something which you should be shy to ask about... LOL! (I was wondering if anyone pick up on the word choice! hehehehe)

Can't wait till April joins our blogosphere-- excitement of imminent birth!!! When is the due date?
But G-- why are you leaving yourself anonymous comments?????
Sometimes it just puts anonymous even if you enter your log in name? I think it must be a gliche, like when it was saying "for the birds" for Connie...??
