Tonsillitis: What a pain...
Just keeping this one short because I have no energy, but I am rather bored...
Been home today sick, can hardly swallow anything and aches and pains all over, major fever, and chills... YUCK! Really started on Sunday, and I passed up a cooked dinner that Trev made, so you know how sick I was feeling!!
Today at one, I walked over to the nursing station and within 8 minutes, was checked (throat covered in white spots on both tonsils) and received some penicillin with instructions to come back in two days to see if they are working. (One of the great advantages of living in the north, there is almost never an insane outpatients wait like I experienced two summers ago- 4 hour wait for 5 minute diagnosis)
So, now I am trying to rest, inbetween bouts of the sweats, nausea, and other unmentionably gross symptoms... Hope I can shake this soon... I HATE being home...

I hope the antibiotics work - no fun being sick.
Keep us posted.

You're excused for today !!! Great that nurses can prescribe antibiotics for obvious illnesses--- too bad they wouldnt try that here, and a four hour wait here would be considered good -- the norm for us has been 7 to ten hours-- but enough of our health woes, you should be feeling better once those meds kick in----- hope there's someone handy to check in on you-- besides us !!!!!!
yep, i have had a few people call, one stop by and another chat over email with a colleague...
hope things feel better tomorrow!
Get Well Soon...usually takes about three days for the antibiotics to really kick in. Remember to take every single one of them, even when you feel completely better!!!!
Take care of yourself..
