Sunsets and late evenings...

Back to work this morning and as I finished my second period class, I remembered that I had agreed to do a workshop for the staff on a computer calendar program... on TUesday afterschool... oops! I was supposed to prepare the handout/ presentation on the weekend, but I guess I was having too much fun to think of it! So, I used all my spare time today putting the notes together and think that it will be good. The handouts seemed to impress the vice principal when I showed him so I think I will do alright. I did get a bit nervous today thinking about it. Since I have never taught the others teachers yet, and maybe all of them will be checking whether I am a good teacher or not. (Worse than that is that the workshop will take place at 3 pm in my class so I HAVE to clean up the junk piles before then!! I don't want them to know what a slob I am!! hahaha I like to blame my lack of organization in my class on my extremely creative mind which is FAR too busy creating things/ developing great ideas to keep the class clean! hahaha)
AND just before leaving for for home, I saw a gorgeous sight out of my window... 6:30 and the sun was setting in the distance, revealing a phenomenal palette of reds and pinks... This picture truly does NOT due it justice!! Enjoy!

Teaching to teachers is the worst!! I'm sure you'll do okay--- can you get the handout on your blog? The afternoon in the tent looked peaceful and laid back- good luck tomorrow--
Haha, I am curious- what's the worst part of teaching to teachers so I can be aware!!
G.
How did you do with the 'teaching of teachers'?
Any problems getting them to pay attention?
Have a good week...
hugs
I agree with you. A creative mind has no time for the mundane. How did teaching the teachers go?
Can you 'teach' a teacher? Interesting thought. Hmmm...must think about that whilst packing.
Take care, Marsh
I notice in meetings that it is harder to get teachers to listen attentively as they expect from their students is sometimes nearly impossible. I had a few troublemakers today, just kidding (some may be reading this LOL!!!)
The workshop went well today, it was about how to use an Apple program on the computer, it's called "iCal". It was a bit longer than it was supposed to be, but it is always so hard to know how easily or difficultly people will pick up each step.
Overall I had great feedback, everyone seemed to learn a lot and were very grateful! They were amazed and teased me a lot about how much I actually know and how much time I must spend learning work stuff for fun!! hahaha...
Anyway, it was fun, this was the first learning school (L.S.) of the year, and next week another teacher will run one on another computer program... I told Mark (the VP) that I would be willing and ready to run a L.S. on Soundstudio (audio recording program for MAC) a program I have used in my class to have students record many childrens books (for a CD) for the younger English classes.
time to eat then blog.... bye bye
