Fresh air and berries!

It was beautiful sun, hot and the water was so calm. We left before high tide at around 10 am, and travelled about 30 minutes upriver to where the village used to be located. They call it "Old George".
There was unfortunately not many fish, only Andrea and Annie caught one each. But everyone enjoyed the abundance of unpicked berries- black berries (just these little round black ones, not the ones that look like raspberries), blueberries and some red berries (also known as partridge berries in Nfld.) I enjoyed the chance to get get lots of fresh air and went for a hike up on top of the mountain where we had "docked".
Enjoy the pics below from this morning.

Hi G!!:)))
What a great, outdoor-sy day you had!! Cool. Will you make anything with the berries...freeze them...or what??? MY dad loves partridge berries. Apparently they make jam with them...??? He loves bakeapple berries too. All Nfld stuff!!
School tomorrow for you....I have one more week....just one more week!!!
Are there many bugs up there...???
Don't know where that name came from....????
Breathtaking pictures!! Can almost smell the air and taste the berries!! Almost wish I was there!!
Well, that is my purpose in these last couple posts... trying to entice you folks to visit!!
It is truely much more amazing than pictures give the impression of... you don't get to smell the sweet, earthy smell of the tundra, or feel the refreshing breeze at the top of the mountain, or taste the distinct blueberry juice as it explodes in your mouth...
It is truely a sensory experiences that calms any frustrations and quiet any unease in one's mind....
